Kane Tanaka is the oldest person alive, but the human body has its own durability. Down the road, Tanaka has faced health problems but is still living with a smile on her face.

At 103, Tanaka was diagnosed with colon cancer and was successfully treated. Tanaka imputes her longevity is based on two things, one hope and second appetite. She drinks three cans of carbonated drinks, coffee, and other nutritional drinks a day and is very fond of sweets.

Kane Tanaka Family: Who’s Her Husband?

Kane Tanaka was married to a normal working man named Hideo. She and her husband used to work in a local store in Kazuki. Tanaka and Hideo shared two children, both sons together. Unfortunately, she lost both her husband Hideo and their one child during World War II. After the death of her husband and child, Tanaka was all to herself. She worked as a store person until the age of 63. While she was 107, ‘In Good and Bad Times, 107 Years Old’ was published by his son, discussing Tanaka’s life in the book.

Tanaka’s other family members; Nieces and nephews who live in the United States. In the 1970s she visited the US for the first time, where lived with other family members.

The centenarian was recognized as the oldest person alive on January 30, 2019, back when she as 116 years and 66 days old. Later on March 9, 2019, she was recognized as the World’s Oldest Person Alive by Guinness World Records.

Tanaka was born in a small village in Fukuoka, Kazuki village. She was born prior to the due date and was raised on breast milk rather than her mother’s.
