Only six months remain until the big screen adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s is released. In preparation for its theatrical (and streaming) run, Blumhouse released official posters for the film, that manage to capture the original spirit of the games, but with a cinematic twist.
Recommended VideosIndividual posters of each of the main animatronics were released on social media, which oddly look similar to the first video game title, but with a much more purple hue. These posters featured a half-face shot of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, all of whom have glowing red eyes… including the cupcake!
Alongside the individual shots was a group poster that featured all four animatronics. These posters don’t seem to reveal much more else the film such as human characters or the pizzeria. But seeing that purple hue that’s noticeable on the poster, it could be a hint to Matthew Lillard‘s character, William Afton, and his influence on these haunted robots.
Five Nights At Freddy‘s is a film adaptation of a popular horror indie video game franchise of the same name. A night security guard working at the pizza restaurant will have to endure his night shift duties after realizing that guarding an empty restaurant wouldn’t be easy. Asides from Lillard, Josh Hutcherson from The Hunger Games was cast to play Mike Schmidt.
The film’s IMDB page has also revealed some of the cast who will play these animatronics. 65‘s Jess Weiss will be playing Chica, Iron Man‘s Kevin Foster was cast as Bonnie, and Syfy’s The Purge stuntman Jade Kindar-Martin will be playing the one and only Freddy Fazbear.
If you want to see this horror video game franchise come to life, Five Nights At Freddy‘s will be released on Oct. 27, 2023, both in theaters and on Peacock.
